Founded in 2000, Equine Rescue and Adoption Foundation Inc. (ERAF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, retraining, and adoption of at-risk equines and to fostering collaborative partnerships that facilitate horse and human connection.
On average, we care for 25-30 equines at any given time. We are proud to have provided exemplary care for more than 500 horses since our founding.
ERAF is accredited by the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance, Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries, and EQUUS Foundation, and we are an ASPCA Right Horse Partner. These industry partners certify our ongoing commitment to upholding best practices for our horses and organization. They also provide resources, education, and help foster collaborative partnerships with other industry stakeholders.
