Horse and Hound Rescue Foundation

Located on 50 acres in Guthrie, Oklahoma, Horse and Hound Rescue Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing a soft landing for animals in transition. Built on over 30 years of industry experience, we specialize in serving Off-Track Thoroughbreds (OTTBs) as they retire from the racing circuit and begin their next chapter.

Each horse in our care receives a personalized rehabilitation plan, beginning with essential “let-down” time followed by thoughtful, professional retraining. Our goal is to ensure every horse is both physically and mentally prepared for a successful and sustainable second career, whether that be in sport, pleasure, or companionship.

True to our name, our mission also includes a senior dog sanctuary, where hounds are given a peaceful place to live out their golden years surrounded by care and comfort. At Horse and Hound, we believe every horse and hound deserves to be loved unconditionally, as they have loved us. Whether they are transitioning off the track or simply seeking a quiet place to rest, we are honored to guide each one into their next chapter.
