Kentucky Equine Adoption Center

The Kentucky Equine Adoption Center is dedicated to giving vulnerable horses a second chance through rescue, rehabilitation, education, and adoption.

Located in the heart of Kentucky’s horse country, KYEAC serves as a safety net for horses facing neglect, owner surrender, abuse, and hardship situations. Many arrive in need of medical care, nutrition, training, and time to heal. Approximately half of KYEAC's herd is comprised of thoroughbreds with racing history, reflecting KYEACs deep connection to the racing industry and the growing need for safe aftercare options for former racehorses. 

With the help of dedicated staff, volunteers, veterinarians, and supporters, these horses receive the care and compassion they need to recover and eventually find safe, loving homes.

KYEAC’s work also extends beyond rescue through educational programs that teach responsible horse ownership and help prevent future neglect before it begins. By supporting both horses and the people connected to them, KYEAC is working toward long-term solutions that improve equine welfare across Kentucky.
