Mountain States Retired Racehorse Rehoming

Mountain States Retired Racehorse Rehoming (MSRRR)** is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Strasburg, Colorado focused on rehoming off-track Thoroughbreds into new homes and second careers.   Our facility is on 40 acres on the eastern plains of Colorado.  We rely on mother nature to water our pastures (no irrigation where we are) and the thoroughbreds love to be out on pasture grazing with their herd of friends. MSRRR typically has 20 to 30 off track thoroughbreds in various stages of post-track let-down at any one time.   This means that some are injury rehabs, where they need veterinarian work and diagnostic testing, or farrier (feet) work or they are just a bit tired from racing and need time to decompress.  We work with CANTER USA to improve visibility of the horses that need homes and we are also Thoroughbred Charities of America and Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance accredited.   Every day is a labor of love at our organization;, we work very hard to keep things running smoothy and the horses happy and healthy.
